There has been so much discussion and attention recently about Artificial Intelligence (AI) you would think it is very new, but it has been decades in the making.

In our last post I wrote about how AI as we know it today has been decades in the making and how the modern era of AI can be traced to the Dartmouth College meeting in the summer of 1956 and was organized by John McCarthy who coined the term “Artificial Intelligence.”

The early 2010s saw breakthroughs in deep learning enabled by increased computing power and larger datasets which led to advancements in natural language processing and image & speech recognition.

Recently I was the subject matter expert on a webinar hosted by CFO.com regarding Artificial Intelligence. Below is one of the questions they asked me along with my response.
